Arthunkal Perunnal

January 25, 2026

The St. Sebastian’s Feast, held every January, is a grand religious celebration that draws devotees from all over the state. The highlight of the feast is the procession carrying the statue of St. Sebastian, which moves from the church to the beach and back, accompanied by prayers and hymns. One of the most striking rituals takes place on the final day, when devotees, as an act of deep faith and penance, crawl on their knees from the nearby beach to the church. This solemn yet powerful act of devotion is followed by a ceremonial procession back to the beach, creating a deeply spiritual and visually stunning experience for all who witness it.
